New moon in Sagittarius, 30 min. MMS kundalini set, journal prompts, moments of presence, cool things, ART! complete & in progress, veg. chili, oracle reading & love poem.
Hi!
What is good with you?
I’ll go first.
I’ve been starting my days slowly with warm tonics and cold walks with the dogs. I am taking time to dance & cook & make art. I have enjoyed deep conversations with the people checking me out at the grocery store. It’s all about the questions you ask in my personal opinion. I even took a yoga class in real life with my cousin Ali who was one of my first students many, many moons ago. I have been getting dressed in clothes that make me feel amazing. Cue picture below.
Let’s continue. Fragrant eucalyptus is hanging in our shower. The sun is out. The smell of coffee is divine. The heater is working in our home on this cold winter day. The holidays are here. I love seeing neighbors decorate with Christmas lights & even trees up inside windows. Hugs & kisses. Really good red wine. Lying down in bed after a fulfilling day. Lighting a candle. Smiling at a stranger. The smell of incense. Saying a prayer. Cuddling with the dogs. Belly laughs. Ripe fruit. Connecting with nature. Reading. Traveling. Experimenting. Creating. Sauna on a cold morning. Standing up for the greater good of humanity even if it stretches your comfort zone. Shining. your light, bright.
Practicing gratitude is one of the fastest ways to shift your energy and align with your highest vibration frequency. An easy was to incorporate this is to wake up & think of 5 things you are grateful for. This sets the tone for your day. We love to say what we are grateful for before bed with the kids. I especially love to count my daily blessings. Sometimes I do this throughout the day in a journal I keep with me or sometimes at the end of the day. It’s a powerful practice. We always count our blessings & talk about what’s good at the dinner table.
You?
RESET with the NEW MOON IN SAGITTARIUS //
The new moon is an invitation to go inward and be with our emotions [and] our inner-voice to find what our truth is in this moment, so that we can plant the seeds for what we want to create and manifest and bring out at the new full moon. Use this time for personal reflection, meditation, time in nature & play. Set good intentions with strong boundaries. Be joyful. Be curious. Be open. Be love. Aim high. Dream big. This moon is full of intensity and can be challenging for those that do not have a solid sense of place, path or spiritual practice. If sudden change occurs, take a moment to reflect on the opportunity this may provide instead of reacting negatively on impulse. Keep your attitude positive and stay out of arguments and judgments as you either hear about, or experience personally some less than ideal situations. Beware of how you might come across as arrogant or authoritarian. Allow others to be just where they are even if you don’t agree with their beliefs or actions. Keep an open mind as you deepen your knowledge of humanity. Although we are all ready for more community time, use this new moon more for personal reflection, building or reinforcing your boundaries and setting good intentions. What you dream now, will follow you throughout the next number of months and gather energy for manifesting if it is on the right path for you. Now is the time to experiment and play. Hunker down and put your refined belief systems to the test. Root down in order to trust yourself as you let you radiant body shine brighter. If you get triggered, ask yourself what it is related to you that you have not yet cleared from your past? A new moon is always a good time for a reset, however some resets require a release of something in the way. What are you ready to clear out? Stay optimistic, grateful & positive through this time of intensity. Aim so high then release. Take the risk. Put it into the field & make cool things happen.

ONG NAMO GURU DEV NAMO x3
followed by the protection mantra 3 times;
Ad Guray Nameh
Jugad Guray Nameh
Sat Guray Nameh
Siri Guru Devay Nameh
Inhale and lift your chin up as you tilt your head backward. Don’t force your head back too much.
Push your navel down and raise your tailbone so your back is curved towards the floor.
Next, exhale and drop your head and relax your tailbone so that your back arches towards the ceiling. You do not have to force your chin to your chest.
Make sure the movements transition smoothly into one another. Repeat for 1-3 minutes.
If you want to get deeper into the pose and further your stretch, curve or arch your back more during the movements.
FINISH
Inhale and apply Root Lock to pull the energy up your spine.
Exhale and sit back on your heels. Arms extend over your head. Palms touch, fingers point down crossing the left thumb over the right.
Gently let your breath slow down and feel the energy flow. Concentrate on your third eye. Slowly, gently come back up.
If you suffer from wrist pain, you may want to drop down to your elbows and forearms to avoid pressure on your wrists. If you have neck pain, avoid tilting your head during the movements and just keep your gaze straight ahead. Use a yoga mat or additional cushion to relieve the pressure on your knees as you do this practice.
SAT KRIYA // Sat Kriya is fundamental to Kundalini Yoga. It works directly to stimulate and channel the kundalini energy.
It improves physical health with a gentle rhythmic massage of the internal organs, and it strengthens the heart through the rhythmic pumping motion of the Navel Point. The rhythmic contraction and relaxation produces waves of energy that circulate, energize, and heal the body.
If you have time for nothing else, make this kriya part of your daily practice.
Posture: Sit on the heels in Rock Pose, knees together.
Mudra: Stretch the arms over the head with elbows straight, until the arms hug the sides of the head. Interlace all the fingers except the index fingers. Traditionally men or male-identifying people cross the right thumb over the left, and women or female-identifying folks cross the left over right. Use whichever configuration feels right for you.
Eyes: Eyes are focused at the Brow Point.
Mantra & Locks: Begin to chant "Sat Naam" with a constant rhythm of about 8 times per 10 seconds. As you pull the navel in and up toward the spine, chant "Sat" from the Navel Point. Feel it as a pressure from the Third Chakra. With the sound "Naam," relax the belly. The focus of the sound Naam can be either at the Navel Point or at the Brow Point. As you continue in a steady rhythm, the root and diaphragm locks are automatically pulled. The steady waves of effort from the navel gradually enlist the movement of the greater abdomen.
The spine stays still and straight. This is neither a spinal flex nor a pelvic thrust. Remain firmly seated on the heels throughout the motions of the kriya.
Breath: The breath regulates itself - no breath focus is necessary.
ADDICTION MEDITATION // This meditation helps to regulate the pineal and pituitary glands. It is excellent for everyone, but particularly effective for rehabilitation efforts in drug dependence, mental illness, and phobic conditions.
Posture: Sit in an Easy Pose, with a light jalandhar bandh. Straighten the spine and make sure the 1st six lower vertebrae are locked forward.
Mudra: Make fists of both hands and extend the thumbs straight. Place the thumbs on the temples and find the niche where the thumbs just fit. This is the lower anterior portion of the frontal bone above the temporal-sphenoidal suture.
Lock the back molars together and keep the lips closed. Keeping the teeth pressed together throughout, alternately squeeze the molars tightly and then release the pressure. A muscle will move in rhythm under the thumbs. Feel it massage the thumbs and apply a firm pressure with the hands.
Eyes: Keep the eyes closed and focus at the Brow Point.
Mantra: Silently vibrate the five primal sounds—the Panj Shabd: Sa Ta Na Ma—at the brow point.
FISTS OF ANGER // When you’re completely overcome with anger, so much so that you can’t stop reeling and spinning from the intensity of it, use this meditation to channel the disturbed energy, breathe through it and release.
“When the inverted anger becomes part of the body, the simple effect is that you have absolutely no relationship with your Self... Inferiority complex or superiority complex are a cover-up of inner anger. Manipulation and lying are parts of inner anger. Not being self-sustaining or having a foundation to work it out is an inner anger. Misbehavior, wrong calculation, self-destruction, destroying the business, destroying the relationship are all inner anger...On the other hand, anger comes from the place of the Agaan Granthi. It is the area of the heart, it is the blood, it is the circulation, it is the diaphragm, it is the heart pumping. The whole life depends on it. So in the center of the heart is a furnace. Either it can cook for you or it can burn down your house and there is nothing in between. That is the tragedy of it.”
-Yogi Bhajan
Touch each thumb to the base of the pinky fingers. Close the rest of the fingers over the thumbs to form fists. Make an O-shaped mouth and breathe through it with a strong, rhythmic inhale/exhale that is in sync with your arm movements. Raising the arms, begin a backstroke type movement over the head, alternating each side (right/left) as you swing up, over and back around again.
**If you are pregnant or on the first three days of your moon cycle don’t pump the navel point and do long deep breathing in and out of the O shaped mouth instead- as always check with your Dr. and use your intuition on it.
Begin the backstroke movement and the coordinated breath with a strong and continuous movement. Intentionally think about anything and everything that makes you angry. Continue this laser focus on bringing up the anger throughout the meditation, increasing the movement and breath.
To end, interlock the fingers, stretch the arms up overhead, palms facing up, deep inhale through the O mouth- picture yourself surrounded in white, healing light- exhale out the O mouth.
Do this for 3 minutes.
MEDITATION TO BRIGHTEN YOUR RADIANCE //
Mudra:
Sit in easy pose, spine straight. Place the two hands about 12 inches to either side of the ears, palms facing forward, fingers pointing straight up towards the ceiling. The elbows are not pressed into the sides, but are held away from the body a bit. Bend the index finger down and curl it under the thumb (Gyan Mudra). The rest of the fingers are held side by side, pointing straight up. Hold the position steady and breathe.
Eyes:
Focus on the tip of the nose
Breath:
Make your lips into a very clear “O”, and breathe long and deep through the “O” mouth.
End:
Inhale deeply, hold the breath, come into a state of shuniaa (zero), and synchronize your entire being. Hold 20 seconds. Relax.
Practice 3, 11 or 33 minutes.
Comments/Effects:
You don’t need make-up; you don’t need to make up for anything. You are known by your spirit. You shall project out by your radiance. You shall be loved and honored by your excellence, or stupidity, or by your ignorance and arrogance, as the case may be.
Who are you? You are a “hu-man being.” Hu means spirit, the light, the hue.
(YB makes circles with his hands over his head, and out to the sides; referring to the auric field or radiant body of a person.)
Man means now, mental, being now. Now you are the spirit of your mind. You are bright light of yourself. That’s your identity.
The art of being smart is to be small, which can contain all.
The art of success is to answer the call of duty with grace and compassion.
The art of happiness is to serve all, and all shall serve you.
These are three fundamentals. From “The Master’s Touch: On being a Sacred Teacher for the New Age”
MOMENTS OF PRESENCE //
Special flowers, a hand written note & a love rock for our sweet niece the morning she embarked on a day full of courage.
How cute are these super relaxed pups?
COOL THINGS //
You know I love to dance. My cousin Rachel sent me this NPR article “What makes us dance?”
I plan to make these quick & easy mini pumpkin pies this weekend.
I am dancing to this 10/10 dance class with Haley of WERQ. Shake your booty & share with a friend.
This article by Virginia Sole-Smith is moving & full of tactile skills one could apply in a variety of scenarios all which arise when dealing with childhood bullying “I wish they had just loved me instead of Trying to Fix Me.” Please give it a read. Give your kids extra love & show them how to be a kind human in this world. They do as we do not as they say. Grammarist says “The admonition do as I say, not as I do, is an acknowledgement that the speaker is being a hypocrite. The speaker is acknowledging that his actions are in direct opposition to his words—he is not upholding the standards that he demands from others. People in authority often used the proverb do as I say, not as I do, to let others know that the speaker is above the law; the rules do not apply to the speaker. The expression do as I say, not as I do, can be traced to John Selden’s work, Table-Talk, pubished in 1654: “Preachers say, ‘Do as I say, not as I do.’”

I especially love this one!
THE EVER-UNFOLDING SELF :: I AM BOUNTIFUL
The Ever-Unfolding Self series includes layers of sacred geometry, specific astrological & cosmological inspiration, a variety of postural silhouettes dancing atop the surface as a self portrait diving into love. I Am affirmations are painted in oil as a vibrant positive, powerful layer of statements meant to transform limiting beliefs & align with the highest vibrational frequency possible. These powerful affirmations amplify positive neural plasticity by tapping into the quantum field through the power if feeling. This experience casts spells to bring your dreams into reality. When we're tapped into our innate gifts and honor our joy, we expand time, increase our joy, and attract abundance.

ARTISTIC CREATIVITY IN PROGRESS //
End of the day snapshot. I spent a brief period this afternoon painting whilst listening to mantras.
This RBG #4 is hanging currently in this corner. I am thinking about switching it to the opposite wall & hanging a prayer piece here to balance the two sides.
WHAT I ACTUALLY MADE IN THE KITCHEN //
Vegetarian Chili (I added butternut squash) & taco meat for the meat lovers in our home.

LOVE POEM //
She Walks in Beauty
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o’er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express,
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!
